Bachelor of Science in Yoga Therapy
It is a comprehensive undergraduate program designed to produce certified Yoga Therapy Instructors, Yoga Therapists, and Yoga Teachers. Students will be trained in the Integrated Approach to Yoga Therapy (IAYT), combining ancient yogic wisdom with modern scientific principles. The program aims to foster a deep understanding of yoga as a therapeutic discipline, preparing students to serve in diverse healthcare and wellness settings.
Program Objectives
- Equip students to work alongside medical professionals in hospitals, nursing homes, naturopathy centers, and wellness clinics.
- Empower graduates to establish and manage independent yoga therapy centers.
- Facilitate the integration of yoga into educational institutions for holistic development.
- Provide training in advanced yoga practices, with opportunities to participate in national, and international competitions.
- Promote knowledge of ancient yogic texts and Vedic chanting traditions.
- Foster physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual development through the holistic application of yoga.
Admission Criteria
- Candidates must have completed 10+2 or an equivalent qualification in any discipline.
- A minimum of 50% aggregate marks is required in the qualifying examination.
- Reserved category candidates (SC/ST/Group-I) are eligible with 40% aggregate marks.
- Basic proficiency in the English language is expected.
